Notes: CD 3 #2 Keeping your focus.
Keeping your focus is the difference between failure, and success.
Keeping your focus is literally the ability to keep your focus on the animal and not on yourself.
Because when you keep your focus on the animal it is the animal's feelings that you pick up on, not your own.
if you pick up on your own feelings, (by not staying in focus) you will doubt everything you say and negate it.
The key to communication is to keep your focus on the animal! KNOWING that when you do ask a question you will ALWAYS get a feeling back in answer. (as long as you keep your focus on the animal!)
In the 'real now' you will be focusing on an animal while using your senses to stay focused. This presence gives you a calm confident feeling. And your focus being on the animal will allow you to pick up the feelings easily.
The 'Imagination now' where we created a special place in your imagination, again, using your senses and inviting the animal in, allows you to keep your focus, predominately on the animal.
This is the same with 'Flow Writing'. Using the animal's voice in your mind, and writing as if you are the animal communicating is very focused on keeping your attention with the animal.
These tools are incredibly effective but you have to use them!
You have to recognize when your mind starts thinking, brining your attention back into you. When you start thinking in a doubtful way, this is the time to use the techniques.
In the Real Now if you start thinking is this right? Is this wrong? That's the time to focus on your senses. So that your mind calms and you ask the question again.
If your mind is racing away and you are thinking your own thoughts, you are not in the space to be able to feel the animal and nothing will happen.
When you are in the space of putting your full attention on the animal, you will have good, accurate flowing communication.
You have the tools to make this work but, it is your responsibility, to recognize where your thoughts are.
Here is another tip to help you:
We call this the feeling focus. It is a tool that allows you to keep your focus with the animal.
Let's say you are asking an animal, what's your character like? You didn't believe you had a feeling coming back. Doesn't mean that it didn't come back to you. Its just that you didn't pick it up.
Your in a position to go two ways now.
One is to keep your focus with the animal and pluck that feeling out. The other is to question what you are doing and be full of doubt where you move away from the focus on the animal, and more into your own feelings.
The feeling focus is a tool to keep you on track and feeling the animal and this is how it works.
At that point where you feel you do not have a feeling, rather than making that commitment that oh I haven't got a feeling, ...Say to yourself, this needs my feeling focus. With that you hold the feeling even though you don't believe you've got it.
By saying to yourself, 'how can I best describe that feeling?'
When you ask yourself, how can I best describe that feeling, your attention is still on the feeling of the animal. It is a FANTASTIC TECHNIQUE! Not only does it help you to pick up feelings that you think you didn't get, but it also allows you to get more detail from the animal.
Example: Horse feelings/car park memory.
Another good tip on keeping the good flow of an AC, is the use of little words such as, 'when, why', how', where' These words, add depth to your communication.
If you ask an animal, 'how do you feel physically'? and the feeling back was 'I am sore'....your next question could be, 'where'? and then you might feel sore on your back legs. then ask, 'when' did that happen to your back legs, and then you can be aware that you can get more and more depth, by using small words.
(children do this a lot 'why' but 'why' why'??? and they get more information each time! :-)
Remember to keep digging to get all the information that you can for the Custodian to help the animal.
A Message from Sunday:
James asks Sunday, 'How can I best support my students? Should I be optimistic for them? Or should I lower their expectation? What was the best approach? Should I be glass half full or half- empty?
The feeling I received back from her:
Do you want to know the truth?
Of course I responded with 'Yes.'
Then she gave me a beautiful communication.
The feeling was, the glass is both half full and half empty! It's both! It's a reply I've never heard before, it's been one or the other!
But with Sundays great wisdom, of course it's both half full and half empty.
And with that reply came a very strong feeling. There is something more important that right or wrong anyway.
And if you're to pressurize yourself with the 'I must get it right', and not get it wrong, that means you're going to be in a state of thinking. Which moves the attention away from the animal and back into yourself.
And guess what? The communication won't be as accurate. On the other hand, if you ask the questions and you write down the feelings without even questioning it even if you think you are wrong or right, who cares, writing down every little feeling that you get back, then sharing that information with the human that is related with that animal. You will be able to acknowledge which parts were right and wrong.
Even if you question what was done, before you get feedback from the human, it will change the nature of your communication.
And you'll be taking confidence away from yourself. So the best thing is just get on and do it. So rather than me having to be positive or negative for people, the thing that I do is, share this story.
Because I feel it has the true essence of the greater picture of your right and wrongs. And hopefully, it will just allow you to get on and DO IT! :-)
Imagination Now Communication.
For this communication you will need a picture of an animal you do not know.
However, you will need to know the name of the animal, and also what sex he or she is. And the name of the human who is related to the animal.
I recommend that you have a quiet place to work in, where you know you're not going to be interrupted. And have a pen and paper ready.
It is good practise before you do any communication, that you quiet your own mind. Its time to leave the rest of the world behind.
This is not a place for your worries or your mortgage, or your relationships. You're going to be keeping your focus and being present, with another being.
Lets use our Real Senses from the REAL Now Communication, and quiet yourself down before we go any further.
Get yourself comfortable.
Using your own unique 3 senses, focus on your first sense.
And whilst you're concentrating on that sense, bring in your 2nd sense, and concentrate on both of them at the same time.
Whilst you're concentrating on both of those, bring in your 3rd sense so you're now focused on all three.
Keep this focus for the next minute.
Any thoughts that come up for you, keep your focus back to your senses, and keep your mind quiet.
Communication in the Imagination Now, is where you become present in your imagination, and invite animals into your special place. And remember, if you start thinking, to bring your attention back to your senses. And keep your focus on the animal, this time in your special place.
If you believe you haven't got any feeling coming back, remember to use the feeling focus. Which is asking yourself, "How can I best describe that feeling?" And this will keep your focus more on the replies.
When you get back a feeling ask more Why, When, Where, What? They are all great small, leading questions, which will add depth to your communication.
Before you enter your special place, have a good look at the photo of the animal you're going to communicate with. And keep in mind, their name.
It's now time to enter your imagination.
Remember your special place and what it looks like from the inside. Be aware of different things that you can see in that environment.
What sounds can you hear in there?
And whatever makes you comfortable, place yourself in that comfort.
Be aware of the texture of touch.
What's the temperature like in your special place? And be aware of it's atmosphere.
Now that you're comfortable, you're going to talk to your special place as if it's a person, and repeat these words to it.
"Please can you make it, very welcoming for (and then the name of the animal you wish to communicate with)
This may have provoked your special place to make changes. Or you may even find that your special place has completely changed. It may not have changed at all and this is also fine.
Whatever happened, just write it down with your pen and paper.
And when you're comfortable with that, now invite your animal in.
Do they come in fast? Do they come in slow?
What can you tell about the character of the animal by the way that they come into your special place?
Whatever you have noticed, write it down.
Observe your animal, and just let he or she settle down.
Now repeat the animals name, until you know you have their full attention.
Introduce yourself, 'HI My name is: ___" and explain your purpose. Why it is that you are learning animal communication.
Repeat, I'm going to ask you simple questions, about your physical and also your character. Please help me by being very clear about your feelings.
Anything that you feel from explaining this to them, just write it down.
The first question is and say this with feeling:
How do you feel physically?
Be aware of your own body when you ask this question. As you may pick up feelings through that. Or you may be attracted to a particular area of their body. Whatever feelings you get back, write them down.
How do you feel physically when you run?
How do you feel physically when you get up from sleeping?
Make sure that you mark everything down, no matter how small or large the feeling is coming back.
If you catch yourself thinking, bring yourself back to your special place, and become present and calm yourself down.
And of course you can use your feeling focus, to get more details from the feelings. Or to keep your focus with the animal.
The next question:
How do you feel emotionally?
What's your character like?
What do you find fun? And really feel the word, 'fun'.
How do you feel about other animals?
Imagine them being surrounded by animals similar to themselves. For instance if it is a horse you are communicating with, imagine the horse surrounded by other horses.
How do you feel with people? Imagine them with men, women, and children.
For this next question, just repeat the name of the human who has the relationship with this animal. Keep repeating their name, and see what feeling comes back. (and write it down)
Is there anything you'd like to communicate to your human?
Remember to keep your focus...Is there anyway I can help you through this communication?
Tell me something, that only you and your human know.
If you'd like to keep this communication on, pause the recording and you can ask as many questions as you like.
If you are only using this technique, the Imagination Now, its' time to close by saying thank you to the animal, and explaining that you'll be happy to communicate with them in the future, if it is needed.
However, if you are using all the techniques in a row , you'll be using the 'Real Now' next, explain to the animal that you're going to be asking them the same questions, but using a different technique and thank them for their patience.
REAL NOW COMMUNICATION
For this communication, you will need a picture of an animal that you do not know. You will however, need to know the name, and what sex he or she is, and also the name of the human who has the relationship with the animal.
I recommend that you have a quiet space to work in, where you know you're not going to be interrupted. And have a pen and paper ready.
Before we start, its important to know that any communication is to quiet your mind. Its time to put your attention on another being. And not to be caught up in your own feelings.
Lets use your three senses, to achieve that. So focus on the senses that are around you, put your attention on the first sense. And whilst your concentrating on that, be aware of your second sense. And concentrate on both of them at the same time.
And as you've got your attention on both of your senses, be aware of your third sense, and concentrate on all three.
Keep this sense of presence for the next minute. If you find that you start thinking, bring your attention back to your three senses and hold that space.
The real now communication this is where we keep our focus on the picture of the animal, whilst keeping a state of being present. Just as you have been focused on your three senses, quiet your mind, this is exactly what we do in the Real Now.
The only difference, is whilst you are keeping present you also keep your focus on the picture of the animal. From here we ask questions, which is to give feelings out. This puts you in the space to feel feelings come back from the animal, which you then, write down.
Remember to take responsibility for your thoughts. If you are staring at the photograph and your mind is in doubts, and you are questioning your ability, it is at this point, you will need to focus on your senses, quiet your mind back down, so that you can ask the question again.
When you ask a question in your mind, say it with as much feeling as you can. This is a feeling language. And when you ask with feeling it will transfer to the animal much easier.
And this is when you ask an animal, what do you enjoy? And really feel that! How are you physically, feel the physical as you say it. (3:54) And of course, if you get a bit stuck, questioning if you've got a feeling back...use your feeling focus.
Which is asking yourself, 'How can I best describe this feeling and this will keep your attention in the right place.
Now it is time to start your communication;
Make sure you've got the picture of the animal in front of you. So that you can keep your attention with it. Use your three senses of the Real Now, that help you get present, and concentrate all three of these whilst you keep your attention with the animal.
So bring in your first sense....your second sense and concentrate on both of these. And now bring in your third and concentrate on all three.
Repeat in your mind, the animal's name until you feel that you have it's full attention.
If you are carrying on from the Imagination Now, because you are using the same animal for all three, different techniques, this is the time to explain with feeling that you are now using a different technique.
And please ask them to be clear to you. And to give you more detail than they did before. If you are only using this technique, with this animal, this is the time, to introduce yourself and explain your purpose for communicating.
Whatever feelings you get back from this, write them down.
The first question you're going to ask, is 'How do you feel physically?'
Be aware of your own physical body, for this is usually where you will feel the physical feeling in your body back. Or you may find that your focus goes to a part of this animal.
