Notes:Â Â The Invisible Lead.
The key to delivering peace.
Creating a listening environment where your animal will hear you.
Â
Persistence!
And the 3rd 'p' is PATIENCE!
You must be patient! This is the only way to get everyone into a 'listening' state.
Nothing here is taught by repetition, just clear communication.
Become present with each step.
Imagine going into each corner, imagine going where you want to go.
The yawning is his (Tom the horse) frustration leaving. Using a lot of patience, manoeuver the horse back to the same first position and ask him to stay in the place you left him. You are just asking him to 'stay there with this peaceful feeling'..it does require a lot of patience especially with an animal with a busy mind.Â
Doesn't matter if you have to go back to your animal 50 - 100 times. Eventually they will get it.  Bring them back, get present, then begin moving away. could take 100 times. BE PATIENT!
Once you've got the invisible lead wherever you go his attention will be on you.
Its important to create this 'listening' between you and your animal. Your initial input, will repay you a thousand fold with how they will listen to you in the years to come.
Peaceful, persistent attitude is the way to go.
Remember to go back to your horse and say 'well done' when he has done well.
When you have an animal's attention you can get them to actually listen to you!
Be clear, no reason to be 'loud' just be clear and get them to listen first before you try and teach them something.
You can really help them with your mindset, once you are connected!
