Notes: It's about producing peace of mind. Create that and supporting animal
1: Video stories (rescue centres and/or consultations)
2. Video tutorials - break down TT so can experience it for your animals
- plus community of questions - check it out.
1. Present Moment:
It's important for TT as it creates a state of feeling confidence and trust.
It is "Right here, right now".
"Thinking takes you out of PM". Same as "Worry".
It's a place of non-thinking = Peace of mind.
What are we made of?
Physical - flesh and blood. Always in the right here, right now. (Keys to present-ness).
Emotional  - Emotions are thinking (thinking creates a feeling - it's the feelings we are looking to reduce)
Spiritual - peace of mind or the extended conscious gaps between thinking.
The TT is spiritual. Healing quality, because of peace it brings into your mind and life. We crave it, even if not conscious we need it.
How can be get Present?
Put full attention on body.
Keep focus on body, completely still.
Build on this
Keep body still but also focus on senses. Senses are: See, hear, smell, touch and taste. They are extensions of our body.Â
The sense adding to, in this exercise is sound.Â
While keeping body still, also listen to sound you can here in the room.
If room quiet, listen to "white noise", the sound of silence.
Back to spot. Keep full focus on keeping body still, including eyes still. Then bring in a sound that can be heard in the room. For 10 seconds.
Now focus on sound and touch (i.e clothes on skin, or touch between hands).Â
When focussed on 3 things, there is little chance for mind to travel to different times and places.
Eyes rest on spot. Keep still. Keep motionless.
Focus on all three for next 10 seconds.
When focussed on being present. Odd thoughts may come in. This is ok.
There is a big difference between thoughts and thinking. This is understanding is key to presentness.
Example of bubble. If you leave it alone, let it drift on by and the thought disappears.
But if I engage on thought (ie. eg. of neighbour creating a noise...what are they doing?)...then process of thinking starts. And thinking will then produce feelings. And it's feelings we want to keep to a minimum.
The TT is a mutual state of feeling, or zero state feeling - neither up or down, positive or negative.
The best way not to engage in the thought, is to know it's ok. Re-focus on body and senses and this will keep me present every time.
Recap
1. The TT gets you present by keeping your focus on a still body whilst listening and feeling the sensation of touch.
2. When a thought comes into mind, acknowledge it, by knowing it's ok.
3. Then go back to refocus on a still body, whilst listening and feeling the sensation of touch. You can't force peace of mind.
Homework.Â
Get present for at least 5 mins a day (i.e in the bath).
Having conscious peace of mind will enhance life.
2.Making Present Moment StrongerÂ
Practice "Being".
Working out focus - like going to the gym.
Thinking is the "resistance" and peace the "muscle".
Overcoming heavy thinking with power of peace of mind.
Painkillers will never address true cause of pain.
List of topic that make you think and creates  a feeling. Number 1 - 10. choose the lowest number. Think about it. Where do you feel it? Get present for 3o mins.
