Notes: Sharing Peace of Mind
1) Present in Mother Nature
Bringing an animal into a still space - is where you teach them peace of mind. It is the place of building trust.
Sharing PM with any animal is a true gift.
Our true nature goes everywhere.
i.e. Christmas shopping. So many thoughts and feelings around. Service motorway station (returning back from a Reiki retreat). Tried to get PM. For 10 mins. Yes you can find PM. Then approached by 2 people. (One from NZ - synchronicity with one of group....also someone from the army, talking about friends he'd lost).
Mother nature... This is where we can truly connect.
Walking, riding, thinking time etc...BUT it is NOT being....
Being in nature.....is something different. (I.,e not even a farmer...thinking of mortgage, crop etc....)...
Morning meditation....is very rare.....(we buzz our way around nature....very rare we just rest and BEEEEEEEEEEEE :O)
Being in Nature
DODO the lion
Rescued from illegal pet trade, eastern europe. Imprisoned in a concrete pit all je saw all his entire life.
When he was rescued; completely in awe of nature around him. Sun, grass, wind, trees... Â He's treasured his existence ever since.
We imprison ourselves in a type of concrete pit, [metaphorically speaking] Â some of the thoughts and feelings we live in, are just as dark.
Being present in nature....having it come alive within us, is just as awakening as it was for Dodo. Being present in nature has a value beyond normal understanding.
The exercise
Go somewhere in nature - safe (not with your animals - as hard to get present as they respond to you/you to them).
Sit or stand (quite good to stand... very grounding....)
Be present for 10 minutes
JF experience
Example 1
In a nature. Squirrel warned him. Fox was approaching.... sent love to the fox. Notice injury to her jaw. Sent her Reiki. (Like sending love to J's dog).
Thought.....wondered how long is she going to stay? She got up to leave. Feeling of gratitude from her....
Example 2
Walked through herd of cows....PM whilst standing... followed him....as soon as he thought...they stopped following him...
Being in nature, connection with animals, secondary.....
Example 3
Sheep. Under tree. Present. Sharing their space with J. But as soon as started filming, it would bring J out of PM.. their nature of how they saw J, started to change.... 1) They are there sharing space, as not being very human.....in a very peaceful state, and don't recognise him as someone walking through a field and thinking of their mortgage... 2) animals on this level, don't trust us humans with that level of thinking.... 3) When started to film.....thinking (ref tutorial etc)...the sheep start to move away....
Great for different perspective on life
Me time
Home work/nature work....
5 mins Present per day
10 minutes in nature....a minimum of  once a week.... DODO.....go to different locations...even if bottom of garden....
Take phone....film the experience.....
2. Bring your animal in to the Present Moment
It' time to share the peace of mind with your animal. (which is why we practice being present).
By now should be familiar with the feeling of "Being Present".
With the TT - what you are saying to your animal is, "right now you can be peaceful". You are saying this with a "feeling" (not words). The feeling of being present.
When helping animals with their fears or teaching new things... the only communication is right now, you can be peaceful.
It's the simplicity that makes this method so very powerful.
At the beginning, you will be creating a peaceful atmosphere. Animals will always respond to this atmosphere.
At the beginning, they may not know that it's you that is creating it. But after a few goes, they will soon click and understand that it is you who is creating this peaceful feeling. It is at this point, that you are starting to build a completely different relationship with them.
The exercise.
1. Choose their quiet time (should always be easy with the TT).
2. Sit or stand close to them (do not touch or stroke - as this starts thinking and not BEING)...position close enough, so they are aware of you...
i.e. with a dog....
J sits on floor with them, so they are aware of your presence...
Eye attention is just to the side of them....(not looking at them directly) but more on a spot next to them...the spot needs to be close enough that you are still aware of them in your peripherals but your're  not focused on them.
... (if you focus on them, and have a quiet mind and put your full attention on another being, you will start to pick up feelings and this is animal communication.....) Â *** The TT is NOT being up feelings but about creating a peaceful environment....
3. Get present for 30 seconds - max
4. Look at them, and ask what are their thinking levels, from 0 to 10, at the moment.
a. Go back to being Present and keep repeating this for as long as needed.
10 = high (full on panic)
8 - 10 = animal with busy mind, can't listen to you.
5 Â = reasonably relaxed
4 = if a dog, lying down
3 = eyes are getting soft
2 = eyes are opening and closing and struggling to keep them open - just nodding off
1 = eyes fully closed.
0 = Healing state - so far away...parts of their body, twitching and releasing...
Understanding these levels will help you to deliver the TT at the right pace.
"The right pace, is going at their pace".
**At the beginning you may not realise how powerful your PM is, with your animal.Â
If you have as nervous animal, and just stayed present, it may be far too much, too quickly**
5. Know it will work (it's not about strength of PM).Â
- you can never force Peace of Mind.
- this strength comes from patience and persistence, in a non- reactionary state.
*If you try to hard it won't work as you will be thinking*
Video example with a horse.
Already lying down.Â
Approached her with the TT, so she stayed lying down.Â
When J looked at her (then getting present again), knew there wasn't much stopping her going into present moment.
J - just stayed present, as knew that would be her pacing.
Static touch - (very different to animal being all over you).
It's a closeness that PM creates.
Then she lets go of extra thinking with a big sigh.
On this occasion J did touch her, as he could feel her reaching out to him.
By getting Present, she totally trusts.
So the PM, when your'e not thinking, Â an animal's not thinking, they go they go into a sleep like state.
"Zero healing state".
"Rather than finding out lots about the animal, work in the PM, so everything in the past can be dissolved by getting into Present State".
[J commented needed to help to calm client down, so client could be on animal's level. I noticed client energy high/thinking levels high].
Video example Lions
Got down on their level straight away. Brought their attention to us.Â
Yawning alot. In TT is they are letting go of extra thinking, to join us in PM.
It's the atmosphere that we're creating that helps them to release that thinking level.
Licking, yawing, soft eyes, sleeping....
Look at levels, then get PM, look, PM, look, PM.....
how long it takes is relevant to each animal and this is what James means by "going at their pace".
Understanding their resistance
Not everyone knows they need peace (human and animal).Â
It can be uncomfortable. If used to being stuck in anxious, then can be alien and sometimes scary to come out of this. So remember that this is a process.
It may be very uncomfortable.
"Peace and unpeace cannot be in the same place".
When you consciously help an animal to be peaceful with you, the process can be uncomfortable.
Example - Glass of squash.
Squash represents  emotional or physical pain.
Top of glass is conscious level
Bottom of glass is sub conscious.
Squash at the bottom (emotion) is  deep in the subconscious
The water about to come in, represents PM or "Peace".
As it comes in, dilutes the emotion and brings it up to conscious level where it can be felt by the animal.
As it flows over..."right now".Â
As more water is added, it dilutes it more and more, until it becomes clear, "or peaceful" or animal has released all of their fears and emotions.
When emotions come to the surface (or even physical pain)...when it comes from deep subconscious level, (emotional or physical) it can be uncomfortable to let go.
Some animals move away (can become a little bit agitated) some become physically itching as well; honor this space and go at their pace.
Most release with a sigh or yawn. 80% of time, it will not be uncomfortable. Remember - once released this, they are not carrying this anymore. So even if in 20% (nervous and emotional animals) - it's so worth helping them through this process.
Neediness
May nudge you, climb over you, want you to stroke them. It's ok. Be gentle.
Gently push them away and hold the peace.
E.g Thyme the dog
Sitting next to him. Focus point close to him but not on him.
Body still, focused on sense of touch and hearing but keeping eyes still on the spot.
He starts to process by moving his attention away. J brings him back by making a small movement.
This brings more of the process and shows his neediness.
Important to stay non reactional and in peaceful state.
J, needs to find space where not reacting.
Other dog then shows his neediness. Observed....apparent, "attention situation between family members" - making J think..J needs to find his space/his peace....other dog comes up again....gently pushes him away....J, moves on floor, to find his space....
Thyme entering PM without feeling of need. Thinking level 2 - slowly opening and closing and starts to drift off.
Patience, persistence, positioning.
Peace always stronger than emotion.
When working with TT, creating a completely different space. It's a peaceful space.
Creating a peaceful state. Non emotional.
Level 1 - eyes close.
Thyme with J but not needing him; big shift in consciousness.
Then gave him affection. Sensation of pride. A lovely way of leaving him/finish the session leaving him in PM.
Horse.
If a horse is pushing/nudging J. Will make J think. Will go get a head-collar and loosly tie them up, Â mind come down to level 3/4, then will take it off and start process again.
Great way to help them just be with you. Insecurities will start to be released. They may even change topic and look at something that doesn't exist..... no probs. Go at their pace. Glass of squash in action.
Video - horse.
Persistence. Gentle. If PM too much, she looked away. Go at her pace.
When "J" felt emotions of horse, the horse recognized that feeling... Picked up the feeling, spoke to client about it...and horse acknowledged...
It's not about you, it's about them.
If it takes longer the more it can mean.
Layers of an onion....Helping them to peel off the layers... peaceful, emotional state comes up, peaceful, emotional state comes up again...can keep repeating over a number of sessions...until the layering effect is enough for them to be truly peaceful.Â
First stage, is us creating an atmosphere....until they realise we have created this.....
