The 3 ways animals and humans react to each other:
1 - animal reacts to human's issues. The animal picks up on a human emotion, the human sees the animals reactions and further reacts - creating a spiral affect.
2 - human reaccts to animals issues. An animal with past issues has a behaviour, the human reacts emotionally to the behaviour and the spiral begins.
3 - both share similar experience. This creates the same feeling, with the same emotions. It becomes the law of attraction by the similar emotion and they react to one another. i.e. lady with childhood issues as she was adopted and felt unloved; adopts a dog who was abandoned and feels unloved. Different experiences but the same emotional base.
The trust technique works on all 3. The human has to be peaceful in the presence of the animal. We need to move away from the idea of correction and into one of healing. The human must take responsibility in creating a space of peace, and therefore emotions and reactions do not come into play. We are not the pack leader.
All our animals are manmade, created to meet our needs. We have taught them human emotions. Therefore, it's outdated to think we should be dominant over them. There is no evidence that the dominant one is the leader, and not true.
Feeling surfing: this will demonstrate whether it's you or your animal that is picking up on feelings.
Create the feeling of the situation you have you have with your animal. Remember when a horse became spooked. Thinking will create a specific feeling. When it's generated, ask yourself -Â
- if no feeling came up, it could be the animals emotions that you are reacting to.
- something current - it could be something not deep rooted. The animal is picking up on the feeling you have created, and are sharing it. Your animal is sensitive and is highlighting it for you.
- something in your past - it could be a law of attraction scenario. You have had a similar life experience, and you are both sensitive to each other.
This gives you the why. This why is not important for the solution. The why is important to understand.Â
