Wow, I found the Messages of Trust to be the missing link! Over the years I have attended and participated in several natural horsemanship courses which at the time I thought was the epitome of communication between horses and humans. I currently work on a Thoroughbred Stud where mares, yearlings and youngsters arrive and depart sometimes after only a few months, sometimes after an overnight stay. I always try to be quiet, soothing and present without overcrowding - these horses are amazing and even if they can only give me a moment of softening it helps them to have someone to ‘check in’ with. The longer they stay the more I ‘see’ them and that is my privilege. I really feel I am on the cusp of helping these horses understand they are safe and can relax with the knowledge I can learn from Trust Technique.
