Getting present...I hear an aeroplane...thats OK its in the present moment and the thought passes by
HOWVER, if I go thats an aeroplane, weve jsut been n a plane when I came back from the US, whe are we going on a plane again....I am no longer present am IÂ ...Â
OK to have a thought - but we're trying to avoid engaging with the thought, which is now a process of thinking...
Thinking produces feelings, not thoughts
It doesn't matter what interrupts my present moment as long as I am OK with it.
(OK - universal word!)
OK = acceptance
Whatever comes into your mind - acknowledge it - say its OK - and refocus on your spot.
Meditation - the big thing for people in meditation is to notice the difference between a thought and thinking...you cannot, not have a thought.
But you can avoid thinking which produces feelings.
"how can you best describe what you are feeling? - ie asked you to interpret the feeling of the present moment
Some people became e.g peaceful, calm, sense of being etc etc.
When you look at that spot and aksed how to describe how you feel - was anyone aware of a noise they could here? e.g. tttsssss - the sound of silence - because there is never 'no sound'. ie universal sound.
(Going deeper -Â if you get an image - how does that scene make you feel eg happy, and how can you describe that in more detaill - e.g. serenity etc etc).
TIP - James: when working with animals etc, waits until he can hear that sound - then knows he is present enough to do the work even if there is the odd thought going on.
