The three principles of the trust technique are:
Creative Reaction
Â
Realisation Learning
Â
Trusted Co-Operation
Â
Realisation Learning : A peaceful mind learns super fast. Â
This is true for both people and animals.
If you are trying to teach an animal something, and it's mind is racing away, it will not be aware of what you are trying to say.
Â
WORKING IN THE RIGHT SPACE & TIME!
Â
Your animal understands the present moment because you've been working with them now.
As soon as they realize that you are the one delivering this 'feeling' they start listening to you.
And we did this by creating the invisible lead.
SO, now they understand the present moment AND they have started listening to you.
So the next step is to show them how to feel in problem areas.
As what we are delivering is, 'Right now, you can feel peaceful.'
THE ANIMALS PACE IS THE FASTEST PACE!
Isn't it just the humans way to want to go too fast. Or think that the animal understands them when they don't, and then scare them. So the fastest pace is the ability of us humans to slow right down, and recognize what that animal's pace is,
The fastest pace for our animals to learn is if we can keep it's mind present in a situation where it would normally increase and then suddenly, we get something that is very magical.  We get what we call realisation learning. If we can keep an animal's mind quiet when it is normally reacting, then it will see this situation in a completely different light.  In this case, a peaceful one.
And from this peaceful viewpoint they will be able to learn themselves.Â
So, we're not even training animals here. I don't even like the word, 'training'...What WE do is we're creating environment, that is CONTROLLED, SECURE, REDUCES THEIR THINKING, SO THAT THEY CAN LEARN THEMSELVES. AND THIS IS THE FASTEST WAY AN ANIMAL CAN LEARN, THROUGH SELF-REALISATION.
By the time we've gone through this process and we've kept their mind quiet, where it would normally increase, actually nothing bad was going to happen, when they self-realise and they look toward you, because you've just deepened a trust relationship.Â
If someone helped YOU with something that was mega, mega scary, AND they made you feel peaceful with it, surely your' going to look at them with more trust.Â
And certainly if you come into a problem in the future, they're probably the first one on your list that you would go and see.
One scenario, the custodian does nothing when they see their dog just about to be involved in a scary scenario.Â
second scenario, dog and 'scary thing' then the human is very fast and doesn't consider the dog's pace but rather rushes in, pulls the dog away, and are all freaked out themselves. OUT comes their own fear, irritation, frustration, and they pull the dog closer and of course his anxiety increases even more, there's no security anywhere, and so he runs off.Â
So this is not very nice place, and it doesn't feel good for anyone.
But here's another scenario:
So, take the 'scary thing' and the little dog, and now bring in someone using the Trust Technique, he's being rather than thinking, he's not going to fast, They both move closer to the scary thing. This time, the fear comes up for the little dog, but this time, but this time we've created the peaceful feeling in the trust technique, which then just dissolves the anxiety.
This has reduced the thinking now, if you looked at this on thinking levels,
the animal is at about a six on ten.Â
The human produces the TT feeling and now his thinking levels have come back down to a one.  So, we are ready to move forward again.Â
They both move together and the anxiety begins to come back up.....and you can see it's come up to six again. Now before the TT the level went from six to ten and the pup ran away, now, (because of reducing the thinking levels with TT,) it's only come up to a six.Â
So we create again the TT peaceful feeling and soon we are back down to a one again.
Â
So now, we are ready to move forward! And this is why I say it has to be at the animal's pace.Â
Now if it's a dog horse or cat, and you ask them to sit, they can't hear you because they are too anxious, YOU HAVE MOVED FORWARD TOO FAST.Â
If your animals mind is at about a six, YOU'VE LOST THE ABILITY TO HELP THEM! So you have to reduce their thinking.
Now this means that we have to do a step at a time. One little step, bring their mind down, one little step, bring their mind down.
A step might be that we are getting closer to something scary. It might be completely the opposite, it might be separation anxiety but we're taking a step away.  It might be that the animal is afraid of noises so we increase the noise very slightly until we see that they are aware of it and then we reduce their mind and carry on.Â
This distance and time can be applied in many different areas, but the concept is very simple.
REDUCE THEIR MIND AND THEN MOVE FORWARD WITH IT.
So now here we are and moving closer up to the 'scary thing'. Our guy creates the trust technique, IT DISSOLVES THE INSECURITY, and now we're really close to the scary thing, but it's not scary!
