Animal Bereavement:
Â
Ask How are you emotionally?
How are you physically?
Its important to ask these questions, as, if the animal has moved on, you will get very interesting, abstract answers to these questions.Â
They are no longer in an emotional or physical body.Â
If there is an 'emotional' reaction, you can call it like they are stuck in between, they are like a 'ghost'...often it is the human's guilt that is keeping the animal's spirit bound.
Ask James what the process to help the animal move on.
Next I help the human find peace in this situation. I'll teach the human how to get present with the animal, and feel the pet.
It's much better for them to feel that, then relay messages to them for the pet.
So the situation is getting present with your animal, going back to the situation of missing your animal.
Making your present moment stronger.
Thinking of the passing of your animal for 10 seconds rather than 5 minutes you will be able to get into the present moment easier.
Start by getting present.
now move your attention from the present moment, think of the loss of your animal.
Now move that attention from that back to the present moment.
Now repeat that for about 5 or 7 times.
Get present....Think of the loss of your pet...(only until you've got it but not up to a 10) even if that is only for 5 seconds.
Then get present again...Repeat 5 or 7 times.
Â
Notice that the 'present' moment will help ease the anxiety of thinking of your deceased pet. Its like it dissolves the anxiety and helps you to be in a peaceful state.
This also helps your animal to move forward if it happens to be 'stuck'.
Now, finding the love in your relationship with them again.
Get into the present moment.
Think of your animal, as if you were going to describe him to someone. This will produce a memory image for you.
As you hold onto that image, gently (in your mind) begin calling their name.
When you feel like you have their attention, I want you to with as much as you can create this feeling and tell them, I LOVE YOU.Â
Now wait for what you feel comes back.
(intense feeling of love) (when we are at peace with our deceased animal)
Sometimes such a strong feeling of love coming back, it hurts us.
It could be the pain of guilt or the pain of missing can be felt as well. But if we repeat this session, the love of your animal will clear you of all the negative feelings that you have. So each time will get easier and easier and so repeat until all that you feel is LOVE with no pain attached to it. This helps us through the grieving process.
Getting present
Imagine the animal as if you were describing him/her to someone.
Calling their name until you feel they are with you. (have their attention)
And then delivering the I LOVE YOU. With as much feeling and sincerity that you can.
This will then help produce a feeling that will help you feel the love or help you clear the way of all the feelings that are in the way of that love.Â
It may be that you use this exercise a few times just to get that back.Â
It may be that you want to use this once a day over a period of time, its completely flexible. You might want to do it over and over in one sitting.
This is a very beautiful way to help people move through their grief.
When you are at peace with the animals, you can then use this to chat with your animal from time to time, and you will see how much your animals will help you.
By:
Quieting your mind down.
Imagining your pet.
Call his name:
Then tell all the things you want to, to your pet.
See the amazing things you receive back from your pet.
