What is the present moment and why is it important? It's important because it creates the feeling of confidence & trust. * Right here, right now * A place of non-thinking *Peace of mind
What are we made of? * Physical: is always in the "right here, right now") * Emotional: = thinking, every bits of thinking generates a feeling and it's these feelings that we're looking to reduce. * Spiritual: = peace of mind or the extended conscious gaps betweens our thinking.
How can we get present... easily? By putting our full attention - or mind - onto our body by focussing on keeping our body completely still - like "playing statues". A still body, equals a still mind!
Exercise: Step1. Focus on keeping your body still Step2. Listen to a sound Step 3. Feel the sensation of a touch
Why adding senses? * It's a great way to increase the focus you have on your body * The human conscious mind cannot focus on too many things at once, so when focusing on 3 things, there is very little chance it can start traveling to different times and places.
The TT can be described as a neutral state of feeling or "zero state feeling". It's neither up or down, positive or negative. The best way not to engage in the thought is to know that it's okay and refocus on your body and your senses. This will keep you present every time!
