Over the past 30 years, I have taken in over 20 troubled teenagers, served as a guidance counselor and instructor at a crisis pregnancy center, and supported domestic violence shelters. Also, I have taken in countless distressed and abused dogs, cats, horses and even a goose. My friends call me the horse whisperer, yet I have always known its about building respect, love and trust to best connect with both people and animals.
