We have all been conditioned over centuries to believe such things as the boss theory, pressure methods, animals don’t have feelings and that somehow your animal is competing against you. This stems from the judgement of “bad” behaviour which needs correction and reprimand. The problem here is that behaviour is only the outward expression of something else, which is happening on a deeper level and that is how your animal is FEELING.
Either consciously or subconsciously you will be sharing these feelings. It will more than likely be expressed by you as one or as a combination of these emotions. Frustration, anger, worry, guilt, embarrassment, helplessness, despair, anxiety and the list goes on.
This creates a gap between how you truly feel about your animal, the love you have for them and the way you are reacting to them. It is this separation that causes the most pain in the relationship!Â

I absolutely love this. My situation is I have a 100 pound English Sheppard and American bulldog mix, a black heeler foster, a red heeler mix foster and a shih-tzu. The heelers came to me quite upset as the black heeler was aloud to steel the red heelers food and nip at her. This caused the red heeler to be emaciated. become fear aggressive and a guarder of anything she sees as high value. The English Sheppard is young and was raised around this behavior and has adapted some of these behaviors. I paid $2,400 to a trainer for the Bulldog mix but it didn’t change these behaviors because the heelers are the same. Problem is he’s over twice the girls size and weight and we have had some nasty unfair fights. I have had to buy 3 large kennels to put inside my house and tethers on each side of the room so each dog gets a little freedom inside. While I am able to keep a clear mind working with each dog individually its impossible and unsafe to do with the whole pack. Question is does you’re series address this what feels like an impossible situation?

I have been a volunteer at my local dog shelter here in Cyprus for the last 5 years and have 4 of my own dogs, 2 are “failed fosters” from the shelter and the 2 my own personal “rescues” plus 2 foster dogs, plus 1 cat. Over the years I have fostered approximately 40 dogs, including 3 litters of puppies. I tend to be the “hospital wing” 🙂 of the shelter and I have fostered many that were recovering from surgery or the very stressed or scared dogs. The “scared/traumatised” dogs have increasingly become more and more scared, the latest foster I have had a week is the most scared I have had and I need specialist guidance. The “Messages of Trust” have been an amazing experience and I am truly grateful for coming across them. The “Trust Technique” is what I have been looking for and I feel will be the answer for my latest foster and also for helping my own dogs and our personal connections and life enhancement for myself and the animals in my care. From what I have seen so far the Trust Technique is perfectly in line with my approach and beliefs and is absolutely wonderful, the tutorials and videos so far have been great. With the amazing videos of ARES, tears of joy for this over-sized kitten. I look forward to progressing with the Animal Communications course and the Trust Technique and I look forward to enhancing my work with my pets and my foster doggies and eventually training as a TT Practitioner.
